My work is inspired by nature, childhood, and sight. It is an elaboration of my childhood passion for looking at objects in great detail, examining right up close the texture of a paper napkin, or the tassel on a rug, or the paw of a stuffed animal. Isolated from their surroundings and transformed through my imagination, these images were the basis for my inner world.

My jewelry exists in a universe that I am creating. Each piece I make expands this universe. I am fleshing it out, materializing my imagination. Certain characters live in this world—a bunny, an ant, a worm. Inanimate motifs furnish their surroundings. It’s a parallel universe. It lives in my mind but also on my hand, wrist, neck, and ear. Worn everyday, this parallel universe interacts with reality.

I hand fabricate each piece out of sterling silver in my Los Angeles studio.
